I'm Seth Masia, a fully-certified instructor in Colorado and
California. For two decades I was technical editor of SKI Magazine,
and I've worked
in the ski industry as
a product manager for both skis and boots.
Teaching skiing is more fun than almost anything I do. It's
a tremendous thrill to watch my students master challenging terrain
and snow conditions.
In two decades of teaching at Squaw Valley and Beaver Creek
I've developed a repertoire of effective terrain-specific lesson plans.
I've compiled some of the best of these into a book, Terrain
Skiing, from Contemporary Books. If you're rattled by moguls,
flummoxed by powder or intimidated by steep terrain, I'd encourage
you to read the book. Then email me,
and we'll go skiing!
